Pollen VC and GetSocial have thrown their support behind Meet the Mobile Gaming Experts Roundtable on the 18th January at McQueen Bar in East London.

Joining the likes of Space Ape, Rodeo Games and UKIE as table hosts, both companies will be providing their expertise at the event about their areas of specialism.

Meet the hosts

In case you’ve not come across either company before, here is a quick run down of what they do and who you’ll be meeting to give you a headstart.

Pollen VC helps developers to unlock their app store revenues early, making sure that they can quickly and successfully reinvest their earnings into growing their business. Pollen’s CEO Martin MacMillan is expected to be in attendance and offering advice, as will Remco Smit, EMEA Business Development Manager at the company.

Meanwhile, GetSocial is a cloud based mobile social engagement platform that provides game developers with tools to help them acquire, retain and monetize their users. Reinout Te Brake, CEO at the company, will be heading up their table and offering insight into how you can keep users engaged throughout the user lifecycle.

Providing great insight to delegates including representatives from Spil Games, Nordeus, Gamevil and Quiztix, GetSocial and Pollen VC will play their role in making the Roundtable event one of the must attend networking meet ups of the week.

Get involved

If you’d like to be a part of Bright Mavericks’ Meet The Mobile Gaming Experts event, then there are two ways you can get involved.

If you’re a service or company looking to share your advice with up and coming mobile game developers, email lindsey@brightdials.com and she’d be happy to discuss table sponsorship options with you. Offering a table to call your own, content creation in the build up (and after the service) and more, it’s a great opportunity to get your service into the mobile gaming community.

And if you’d like to attend the event, we have free tickets for game developers and non game developers available here. Please note that priority will go to game developers at the event, so sign up early to make sure you don’t miss the cut.

We’re looking forward to being joined by GetSocial and Pollen VC in London on the 18th January as part of Mobile Games Week. We hope you’ll join us there.

London Mobile Games Week is taking place from the 18th-22nd January. And what with my experience organising events, writing about mobile games and enjoying holding court, it shouldn’t come as an enormous surprise that I’m going to be hosting an event in the capital during that most momentous of occasions.

Called Roundtable, and organised in conjunction with Bright Dials, this will be your chance to meet the mobile gaming experts and make new contacts in a relaxed environment.

Taking place on the 18th January at McQueen’s Bar near Shoreditch from 4-7pm, we’ll be rotating you around eight tables in a “speed networking” format – giving you a chance for an informal natter with our experts.

And if that wasn’t enough of a reason to attend, we’ll also be providing nibbles, drinks and running a prize draw to give you the chance to win stuff simply by talking to people. Generous, eh?

We’re still finalising our line up of experts, but we can confirm the following people will be in attendance:

  • Hosting – George Osborn, Editor at Osney Media and Owner of Mobile Mavericks
  • Press – Keith Andrew, Freelance Journalist and owner of Keith Andrew Media
  • Monetisation – Charmie Kim, Product Manager at Space Ape
  • Industry Knowledge – Andy Tomlinson, Public and Policy Officer,
  • Indie gaming – Ben Murch, Rodeo Studios
  • More TBA soon

If you’d like to attend, getting a ticket couldn’t be easier. Simply sign up using the Eventbrite form below for a free VIP ticket and you can join us on Monday 18th January for a fantastic afternoon of networking

See you there!
